19 Reasons To Be Thankful In November 2019

It is the week of Thanksgiving here in the US. There is a chill in the air (thankfully rain here in SoCal!) and everyone is busy getting ready for their families or friends to come together and feast. This year, we are hosting our first ever Friendsgiving. The kids and I have been busy planning it.

Along with all of the fun, good food and laughter this season brings us, it can easily (and quickly) overwhelm us.

So I like to take some time to remember all of the things I am thankful for. As this has been one of the hardest and most challenging years of my life, I need positive exercises like this that can really open our eyes to how lucky we are. So as you are traveling for the holidays or getting ready to have your whole family over, this always puts one in a good mood and I encourage you to take some time to sit down and write out what you are thankful for too!

19 Reasons To Be Thankful In November 2019

  1. My children. We have been through a lot together, especially this past year. But through it all, we laugh, we smile and we light each other’s way.
  2. My family. No matter what happens, we are there for each other. I am so thankful I have parents and a brother who care.
  3. My health. Without our health, we have nothing. It is the most important thing to maintain and I am so thankful to have mine.
  4. Veterans and Soldiers. I am thankful to all of our veterans and soldiers who have fought and fallen for us to be able to live the way we are so blessed to do.
  5. Education. I am so thankful for my education and everything my parents did to make sure I received a good one. Likewise, I’m thankful for the amazing education my children are getting.
  6. Technology. I’m thankful to live in a time where technology really helps us, where food is easier accessible and people are far more peaceful than they once were – though we still have a long way to go! But I’m thankful for all of the modern day advances we enjoy every day.
  7. Planes, trains and automobiles! I am so thankful for transportation… aren’t you?!
  8. Hotels, resorts, AirBnb! It is so nice to have a seemingly endless list of places to visit and to relax in.
  9. Mother Nature. She is breathtaking, right?
  10. Laughter. A bit of levity makes everything ok. And with just the sound of any of my children laughing, I know everything will be ok.
  11. Hospitals and healing. We have so much knowledge now and can heal so much. Our understanding of our bodies becomes stronger each day. I am so thankful for this.
  12. Curiosity. I am a very curious person, yes sometimes it gets me into trouble. But as a whole, I have learned so much and am very thankful to be such a curious person. As well, I am thankful for every other curious person out there, because anything is possible, so let’s find out if we can!
  13. My mistakes. This goes on my list every year. Because mistakes are really just learning curves. And I like learning. So it’s ok to make mistakes and try harder and differently next time!
  14. Soaps, lotions and potions. I am so thankful for the wide range of natural products available out there to make us smell delicious and feel good! And even more thankful for the spas that pamper us with them… ?
  15. Progress. I’m thankful to live in a time when progress is fast and furious. I heard the bullet train to Vegas is starting construction in 2020, 90 minutes to Vegas… now that is progress!!
  16. My Senses. I love to feel and I am so thankful I have many ways to do so.
  17. Challenges. They keep us interesting and moving. They may be hard, but I do love a good challenge.
  18. The Ocean and beach. I am so thankful that such a peaceful place for us to recharge is so close to me.
  19. I am thankful for you! No matter what path you are on or what has led you to me, I am thankful for you.

Cheers and Happy Holidays!
