5 Mother’s Day Gift Ideas for the Traveling Mom
If your family is anything like mine, they have been asking what to get for Mother’s day this weekend, repeatedly.
Here are Great Mother’s Day Gift Ideas for the Traveling Mom – also good for the Mom who wants to #travelmore
Mother’s Day Gift Ideas 1:
The Extreme Mother’s Day Gift – A trip! For moms to be – a babymoon. For new moms an overnight escape. For the mom of many – an all-inclusive resort, or one that offers nanny and butler services so we can have fun focusing on our family instead of feeding, cleaning and directing – even just for a few blissful days! Depending on what you are looking to spend, check out one of these two sites for great deals:
Mother’s Day Gift Ideas 2:
Transport her to another place right within your own home – and clean-up for her after (without being asked – that is gift enough alone)! Choose a special location to her and have your kids help recreate the memory for her – small gifts, decorations, music, food, anything that can bring her to that happy time. Start off serving her breakfast in bed while the kids decorate. If you take a little time and prepare this can be a really fun way for mom to relax and have fun with the kids – which is what Mother’s Day is all about. Enjoy reliving the memory, eating the fun food and sharing this day with your kids.
Mother’s Day Gift Ideas 3:
Dot & Dot packing envelops/folders. These babies have changed the way I pack and have made it sooo much easier. They are affordable and make a great gift.
Mother’s Day Gift Ideas 4:
A VivaSelfie Stick. I love my VivaSelfie Stick, there I said and I am not ashamed. I carry it everywhere and have a great time taking group shots. So even if mom has not said she wants one, trust me they rock and every mama should carry one in her bag. We deserve to be in some pictures with our littles too!!
Mother’s Day Gift Ideas 5:
Jewelry. You can’t go wrong with this option! Find a local artisan who can make something special – a ring that has each child’s birthstone is always amazing, as is a necklace with each birthstone or a charm bracelet. Bringing special jewelry made locally for Mom from your travels is also another great idea – for next year!
I’m going to let you in a little secret. At the end of the day, more than anything else, us tired moms would love to spend a day with our families that our mates plan, prepare, execute and clean-up after.
Gifts are so appreciated but so too is a little effort. It will go a long, long way! So no matter what your budget is, I hope you spend this weekend appreciating the one person who wakes up every day thinking about what she can do to make all of your lives better, easier, happier, and healthier.

Excellent gift ideas! I would also add that a stylish diaper bag would be greatly appreciated by a traveling mom.

What a great list! I love the idea of spending time with the family creating memories…of course a getaway would be pretty amazing too 🙂 These moments are so precious, I wanted to capture them and carry them with me. (I’m a jeweler so always thinking of translating emotions etc.) So I started making fingerprint necklaces with the actual prints of the family. It’s something that I hold close to my heart and moms really love them!

i brought an interesting stone back from Mexico and it sat in my jewelry box for years because I couldn’t decide what to do with it (it was pretty but not valuable). Without telling me, my husband went out and had a ring made. best present ever! I also like when he makes photo books from out trips.
