5 Tips for the Business Traveler
Traveling for work can be an amazing experience. A chance to see how things are done in another office/city, getting to try local food and see local sites are all exciting.
The planning and travel itself, however, can be a hassle!
Here are 5 Tips to make your Business #Travel easier:
1st Tip for the Business Traveler
Invest in 2 good pieces of realistic carry-on size luggage. One that can squish underneath your seat and one that can fit in the overhead bin. Be very thoughtful when packing, bring travel size products and coordinate your clothes to mix and match and try to minimize your electrical cords for charging. Less is more!
2nd Tip for the Business Traveler
Dress nicely and wear slip on shoes to quickly get through security. BE FRIENDLY! If you are polite and courteous, people will go out of their way to help you. If you are rude, grumpy and angry you will get that treatment back!

3rd Tip for the Business Traveler
Join a point’s rewards program for whichever airlines you frequently travel with. They come with lots of benefits like nice places to wait during layovers, baggage deals, free miles, smaller lines and much more. Also be sure to keep a travel itinerary handy on your phone with room numbers and telephone numbers of airlines, hotels, car rentals etc. I’ve even found it handy to take a picture of a map of wherever I am to have on my phone in case I get lost! Most stations, airports, museums, and hotels have them on the wall somewhere!
4th Tip for the Business Traveler
Always keep an energy bar or a 4 oz or less of your favorite snack in your brief case or purse. You never know when you will be stranded or late and need something to eat. This will save you at some point, I promise!
5th Tip for the Business Traveler
Don’t be afraid to check out AirBNB for a different experience. I have not tried it yet, but I plan to in 2015! Try to save some time for experiencing the local flavor as much as possible!
