I can remember moving here to Southern California with 2 young children, not knowing a single person. It was both thrilling and terrifying. Kind of the same feeling as visiting a new city with your kids for the first time, except that we would be staying here!!

When we were saying goodbye to my children’s pediatrician back east, who also is a family friend, I remember her telling us we would love “The Land of Everything”- what she called the Los Angeles area.  “The Land of Everything” I thought, does not exist, but I thanked her, hugged her and we went on our way!

A few months later, after we were all settled in out here on the west coast, I realized exactly what their doc had been talking about! This really is “The Land of Everything”! Pretty much anything you can think of, can be found somewhere around or in LA!!

It is just a matter of getting connected…

Thanks to Tracy Fredkin, creator of the City Moms Pass, now getting connected is easier than ever.

What is a City Moms Pass?

The City Moms Pass is a mobile app that allows you to view, register and attend a wide variety of local activities including museums, family events, children’s play spots, classes and programs. Families purchase one of 3 monthly memberships – either $149.99 for unlimited activities for 2 children per month, $99 for unlimited activities for 1 child per month, or $49.95 for 5 activities per month and quickly get connected to hundreds of awesome family activities.

How the City Moms Pass Works

Once you have purchased your membership, your pass comes in the form of a mobile app. The app will show you a daily activity stream of local events, programs and classes that you can attend according to the terms of your membership. The City Moms Pass app will conveniently help you find, book and check-in to any activity of your choice and can be used for multiple children by any of their caregivers. You can even sign up for a class right up until it begins!

The app lists the activity info – time, location, appropriate age group, staff and length of time the activity runs with a Sign Up Now button next to it. Simply push the sign up button, choose whether you want to sign up one time or reoccurring, and then you are in, just show up! It is that easy!

The City Moms Pass takes all of the stress out of planning daily activities for your littles, which is amazing!

How do I get the City Moms Pass?

The City Moms Pass is currently by invitation only for families with children under the age of 5 in the Los Angeles area. The good news is, she is working to add all of the other popular SoCal destinations by early summer. Once that is completed then they will continue to add city by city until they have listed them all!! Click here to contact City Moms Pass and inquire about trying it!

Why do I need the City Moms Pass?

Whether you live in the Los Angeles area or are just visiting, this is, hands down, the easiest way to keep your littles busy without losing your mind trying to find appropriate activities. The City Moms Pass has made it super easy to find, book and attend family friendly activities.

They even offer things for the parents to do: now they are offering free SoulCycle classes for parents with every membership bought! City Moms Pass will also offer special discounts on new products and these are just a few of the perks to being a member!

If you are interested in trying the City Moms Pass, contact them here. Check out Focus Magazines’ interview with Tracy about the app here.

The City Moms Pass is the best way that I have found to get connected, get active and get into some great classes together with your child! I can’t wait until it is nationwide – what a great app for family travel and families who are relocating!
