Day 3 About Malibu – Weather
Considering Malibu averages about 335 days of sunshine a year, it is a pretty even tempered place! Our mornings tend to start off with some nice, cooling fog which usually burns off by 9ish so the sun can shine!
Rain is scarce, but when it does rain we have to watch out for the rock slides that can happen in our canyons and along PCH (Pacific Coast Highway).
We have moderate seasons in Malibu. The summertime weather is perfect in the 70s everyday. During the fall the temps fall slightly to high 60s low 70s. Winter brings some chills with temps in the low 50s to the mid 60s. During the spring the temps range from mid 60s to low 70s.
Some of our trees change color in the fall, but most do not, keeping it green here year round.
June brings something the locals call June Gloom. During the month of June we get a really thick fog every morning in Malibu which can last into the late afternoon. This fog is enchanting and cleansing!
Malibu is a pleasant place to visit where you can be sure the sun will be shining for most of the year!
