How To Travel With Baby #FamilyTravel
So you’ve had your first baby and think you are ready to travel again? Yay!!
Don’t worry, it is not as hard as you think! Travel technology has come a long way.
It is probably best to start off with small trips to not overly public places until baby is around 3 months old – ya know, avoid all of those germs, let the immune system grow! But then its:

Whether you are traveling by car, plane, train or boat, with the proper preparation and organization, traveling with baby can be so much fun! Take advantage of this time before your child becomes mobile (and travel gets trickier!) to check out some new places.
Here are my tips to make a trip with baby a breeze:
How To Travel With Baby Tip 1
Health & Safety. A must. Assemble an emergency kit for your child. Include everything from Band-Aids and Neosporin to prescription medications to tweezers to nail clippers. Keep this in your diaper bag for quick use at any time. Then fill out an emergency sheet with ALL info (height, weight, health issues, everything) and save it onto your smartphone.
How To Travel With Baby Tip 2
Extra clothes… Not just for baby but for you too. Looking good is important and who wants to arrive with whatever that mysterious substance is on your shirt?! You & Baby will not want to wear the spill all through the trip so be sure to toss in an extra set of clothes – maybe even 2 for baby!! Put them in your carry-on or in a bag to be kept up front if on a car or train trip so that you can easily access it.
How To Travel With Baby Tip 3
Wear your child!! Invest in a great carrier system that will hold baby right against your chest, this will calm both of you and baby might even sleep for a bit. Also, if flying, this makes getting from gate to gate a synch. If on a train, this provides comfort to baby against the jerking of the train. If driving, keep baby in the back seat, backwards, safely strapped in at all times. But do stop at a rest area and ‘wear’ baby for a bit giving you both some fresh air and stretching!
Here are a few from Amazon that I like:
How To Travel With Baby Tip 4
Stock up the diaper bag. Make sure there are plenty of fresh diapers, wipes, hand sanitizer, emergency kit, teething rings and small toys to last 2 full days. Toss in some Ziploc bags for nasty nappys and spilled on clothes! Don’t forget the Bibs & Blankets! Keep baby cozy and warm with familiar bibs and a special cozy blanket and stuffed animal.
How To Travel With Baby Tip 5
Snacks for Mom & Dad! Don’t forget to load up on power bars, fruit, nuts, water – whatever you are eating to keep up your energy. You are going to need every last bit of energy and you don’t want to be stuck somewhere starving having to entertain your infant – yes, I speak from experience!! So throw in something good for you to eat!
