4 Reasons to Travel During the Shoulder Season
Tired of battling the crowds during what is supposed to be your one week of vacation during the year?
Have you had enough of paying top prices only to be treated like part of a herd?
Well then, it sounds like you need to consider traveling during the shoulder season! There are so many great deals during this short period of time, it is hard not to take advantage… if you’re in the know!
What is the Shoulder Season?
Shoulder season is that sweet period of travel time in between the high-priced peak season and the lousy weather of low season. Most locations have a shoulder season of 4-6 weeks.
4 Reasons to Travel During the Shoulder Season
#1 Reason to Travel During the Shoulder Season
Less crowds! Experience true local flavor during the shoulder season with half the crowd. Because this is not peak season, locals are more relaxed and activities/excursions are easier to enjoy.
#2 Reason to Travel During the Shoulder Season
Cost! During peak season, costs are usually at an all-time high due to basic supply and demand. Once peak season ends, the demand for popular attractions lowers and prices drop. However, the attraction does not change! A family adventure will be just as fun in October as it will in July!

Why We Travel During the Shoulder Season.
I love to travel during the shoulder season because it is less crowded. Nothing can ruin a vacation like long lines and grouchy people all around. This almost never happens during the shoulder season! Not to mention, there are so many great travel deals, it is hard not to take advantage of them.
The weather is usually really good as the shoulder season is just before the really bad weather season. The people tend to be friendlier and more relaxed.
Each location has its own shoulder season. This year, we will be traveling to Fiji during their shoulder season in November.
Where will you plan to go to catch a rejuvenating shoulder season vacation?
