Brophy Bros. Restaurant in Ventura Harbor Village
Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting two new, amazing friends for lunch at Brophy Bros. in Ventura Harbor Village. I had such a great time, I had to share this hidden little gem with you!
Brophy Bros. is a clam bar and restaurant featuring signature cocktails, a super fun happy hour with a great happy hour menu, fantastic seafood dishes, incredible views and a wonderful staff on hand to make sure you have the best dining experience possible.
Let’s just talk about their view for a second… look at how pretty Ventura Harbor Village is:
Located upstairs with the side facing the harbor all windows and a warm patio, you get a bird’s eye view of the entire harbor no matter where you sit. The bar is facing the harbor, all of the tables have views out of the windows and of course sitting on the patio you feel like you are on the back deck of a boat!
The atmosphere is relaxed with nautical décor throughout.
How is the Food at Brophy Bros.?
The food is outstanding. Being a New Englander born and raised, I know clam chowder. And where I have never had as good out as we make in, Brophy Bros. chowder is a close second. Really, really good. They have a great oyster selection, which I love, and classic entrée selections with signature sauces and styles that will tantalize your senses.
They use locally sourced food as much as possible, only the freshest of seafood and everything is made on location in their kitchen by a top-notch team. Everything I have tried there so far has been amazing.
How is the Atmosphere at Brophy Bros.?
Casual, relaxed and enjoyable. It is a great mix of boaters, locals and people spending the day walking around, shopping, checking out Ventura Harbor Village.
The vibe is chill and perfect for a long leisurely lunch, a romantic dinner or a fun family outing.
My Lunch at Brohpy Bros.
Loved it! The company was awesome, we had stimulating, endless conversation while being brought one yummy thing after another.
I started with warm bread fresh out of the oven and their clam chowder, which rocked. I had Salmon with an incredible homemade shrimp cream sauce, rice and spinach. It was so good. All of our food was so delectable, it truly was a lovely lunch.
Afterwards, we went for a walk around the harbor to find some really exciting shops. All of them are local and filled with just exquisite things. Look at the jewelry from Barefoot Boutique –
You know the one on the left came home with me… and I am already looking forward to when I can go back again!
There is so much to do at Ventura Harbor Village and Brophy Bros. should certainly be high on your list of places to eat if you haven’t been yet!
I know I can’t wait to go again!
Cheers and safe travels!
