Family Travel: Ventura Harbor Village Parade of Lights 2017
Ventura Harbor Village is a quaint little harbor nestled among canals in Southern California. It has quickly become one of my favorite places to spend an afternoon with my littles or bring visitors too, it just has so much to offer!
A couple of weeks ago I shared my lunch at the fab Brophy Bros. here and today I want to wish you happy holidays, Ventura Harbor Village and Island Packers style with a peak into our Parade of Lights 2017 adventure!
Take a second to watch this video – 😉 remember to give it a thumbs up if you like it 😉 – and come right back for details on how you can book your next family vacation here!
Ventura Harbor Village Parade Of Lights 2017
We had such a blast! From visiting with Santa, Mrs. Claus and their reindeer to face painting to shopping at the amazing boutiques to carnival rides to a very unique, very fun Parade of Lights and boat ride with Island Packers, it was an afternoon we will remember forever.
The boats where incredible. Click this link to head over to the Ventura Harbor Village Facebook page where they posted all of the contestants. We all agreed that the boat decorations where far superior to anything we have ever seen before, and the amount of participation was commendable.
Everyone was so friendly and filled with the holiday spirit. It really was well done and we are already looking forward to next year’s event. If you can join us, stay tuned as I discover more about this harbor and where the best places to stay nearby are – we have a whole year to plan it and get excited about it!
Check out the Ventura Harbor Village website for more events and festivals coming soon. Also be sure to check out Island Packers Cruises – their whale watching tours are just starting for the season and are sure to be fun! It is so family friendly. There is good food, good people, so much local flavor – even a little local ice cream shop! My littles have been talking about their night aboard the Island Packers ship when everything was lit up!
Ventura Harbor Village Parade of Lights gave my children and I the opportunity to go out and experience some serious holiday fun! Making new holiday traditions with your children is just as important to sharing all of your favorite holiday things you did as a child with them. For us, we have had a year of extreme transitions. It has been really important to me, for their well-being and happiness as well as mine, to create new holiday traditions (read this post on why) we can do together and this is at the top of the list!
Parking is free, easy and plentiful. Even with all of the people there we found parking quickly.
Ventura Harbor Village is a great place. Have you checked it out yet?
Cheers and Happy Holidays!
