things every conscious mom can do to be happy

Being a conscious mom is amazing and rewarding, but it is not easy! We are always on call having to guide our children through the often-challenging process of growing up, putting pressure on ourselves to do everything right.

Thanks to the science of happiness, we know that we can choose to go through life happy. But sometimes, that can be a bit tricky.

5 Things Every Conscious Mom Can Do To Be Happy

  1. Respect and love yourself. By respecting and loving yourself, drawing and keeping your boundaries, your self-worth will go up and your children will learn to respect and love themselves – an invaluable gift we can give to them.
  2. Forgiveness is super important. Holding onto a mistake or accident someone may have had that disturbed you only holds you back. Instead, try being more understanding and forgiving when someone messes up.
  3. Talk to your kids often, making lots of eye contact. Communication is the biggest key to raising conscious kids happily. Kids listen and learn from us more than we realize. Sometimes all it takes is a truthful conversation with your kids to make you both feel good.
  4. Let go. Holding onto to things is only hurting you. When something happens, deal with it directly and then let it go. Our children will see this and in turn be able to do the same thing, putting them on the path to a happy, conscious life.
  5. Appreciate. When I feel myself winding up about something, I stop and take a few minutes to see the positives in the situation. I take a couple of minutes to think about everything I do have to appreciate and suddenly I am feeling better. The art of appreciation is a great mood changer and something I do every day.

What are your favorite ways to be a conscious mom and teach our children to live a conscious life?
