12 Ways To Consciously Keep Your Relationship Fresh Today

We all know that relationships can be a LOT of work. They don’t just happen, no matter how hard Hollywood tries to make us think they do!

So Katie and I thought it would be fun to share some tips to consciously keep your relationship fresh today!

12 Ways To Consciously Keep Your Relationship Fresh Today

  1. DO NOT offer your partner a solution to their problem unless asked. Listen to them, maintain some eye contact and let them get to where they need to be. Sometimes a person just needs to be heard.
  2. Always greet your partner when they come home AND when they leave. ALWAYS. Even if mad, you can kiss them and then make a joke about it, but always give some love when departing and coming together. Always.
  3. Say I love you at least 2x a day. Life is rough, sometimes we feel like our partner doesn’t care, see or understand, we forget the love us. So make sure to remind each other every day.
  4. Keep your sex life fresh – that is a whole other post, but for here, make sure you have an active sex life that you attend to.
  5. Pick your battles, don’t fight over the small stuff. You won’t be right everytime, so learn how to compromise asap!
  6. Learn theirs (and yours) love language. Read about the love languages here, it can change everything for many of your relationships.
  7. Travel together, even if it is just a day trip to the next town over. Spending this kind of time together is invaluable.
  8. Make sure to get in at least 30 – 40 minutes each day interacting in person with your partner.
  9. Dress nicely, not only for yourself but for your partner too. It will make you both feel special, ditch the yoga pants/basketball shorts and through on something snazzy at least 4 times a week!!f More if you can!
  10. Send random sexy messages to them during the day. This is so much fun, and even better when it is unexpected.
  11. Don’t bombard each other with questions, instead open up conversations and listen more!
  12. Pay attention to any jealousies – they usually have to do with what is going on inside of the jealous person highlighting where they need to heal. Be open and honest with each other and talk though things.

Remember, communication and understanding and active listening are the keys to a successful relationship.

We hope our show Conscious Straight Talk With Katie & Lindsey helps with that.

Sending you love!
