There are still a few places that I would like to try, but of everywhere that I have had lunch to date, these are my 3 preferred spots to meet friends for lunch in Malibu.

Located inside of the Malibu Country Mart, Café Habana is a Cuban/Mexican café with a welcoming, casual atmosphere. There is patio, bar or indoor seating available to meet any of your needs and is handicap accessible.

This café uses sustainable, organic and local ingredients and has the most interesting dishes on their menu – everything I have tried to date has rocked my world! They also have a full bar – with many fantastic wine selections.

Café Habana makes a great lunch spot because not only is it a conscious café with delightful food and drink, but you step outside the door and into an outdoor mall with all the best shops in it!!

Located inside of the Malibu Beach Inn, The Carbon Beach Club is overlooking the ocean while serving the best coastal cuisine available. Their food is fantastic and the atmosphere is relaxed with the lull of the waves below you and charming modern beachy décor surrounding you.

The Carbon Beach Club uses sustainable, organic and local ingredients to prepare their scrumptious dishes. They have hand selected many local California wines to complement their full bar and have knowledgeable staff on hand to help you with pairings should you need it. This restaurant is handicap accessible.

I love sitting out on the patio overlooking the ocean and Malibu pier with friends and catching up. Carbon Beach Club is a great lunch spot because they are a conscious restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere.

  4. Ok, have to admit I am not that familiar form Malibu. I live in the South Bay and you know how hard is to get there even though it is not that far away. But, I would love to discover more of the area. These restaurants sound nice. Hope I can try them soon.
