7 Reasons To Take Your Child To The Gym Today
Roughly 1/5 of the children ages 2-17 in the USA today are obese or well on their way. Fewer then 25% of these kids are getting the recommended by the AMA amount (which is so low) of 60 minutes per day of physical activity.
We all know this. Just as we all know there are many, many factors. Like the quality of our food, not being aware of what chemicals are doing to us –the nasty toxins, our water quality, being overworked just to put food on the table, lack of sleep and all of the stress that daily life brings are all reasons why the children of this great country are struggling with their health.
When Should You Take Your Child To The Gym?
There are a million excuses we as parents come up with to paint this unhealthy red flag green. Let’s be honest, we have heard them all, we have probably used several of these excuses ourselves, right?!
As conscious parents, it is our job to do the heavy lifting, the hard work, the motivating, the teaching, the leading by example. They learn from us, so why not impart our good, conscious, healthy workout habits on them during an age when they are sponges soaking up everything?
If your child is older than 6 years and is able to listen and control their bodies a little, than they are ready for the gym!
Spread the conscious love and pin this:
This summer, as I disconnected to reconnect, I realized my littles are getting older. Though we are very healthy, I feel they are old enough now to begin coming to the gym with me for 20 minutes to help them form healthy, conscious habits that will stay with them forever. We started in June and actually all 3 of us really look forward to going daily together now.
Crazy, right?
