Are you heading to Vegas with kids in tow?

Get ready to see a side of Las Vegas that you never knew existed! And here’s the shocker… It really is fun!

Granted, a very different type of fun than Las Vegas is traditionally known for, but fun none-the-less!!

So what should you do in Vegas with kids?

Here are my fave Vegas with kids destinations:

1st Vegas with Kids Fave –

The Bellagio water fountains are our pick as the coolest thing to do in Vegas with kids (to date – indoor skydiving will be tried on the next trip and I have a feeling…!!!). The inside of the Bellagio, at any time of year, is definitely something spectacular to see, then outside to ‘a complimentary Las Vegas show of water, music and light thoughtfully interwoven to mesmerize its admirers’ – The Bellagio Fountains! We recommend having dinner somewhere near here and then walking around the Bellagio and watching the fountain show afterwards.

2nd Vegas with Kids Fave –

The Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay. Home to more than 2,000 species of animals, this place is seriously cool. You enter into a cave and walk through a very well designed self-guided tour. In the middle is a giant touch tank for the kids. Super cool! We recommend doing this activity first in the morning. It will take up about an hour of your time, so plan to do this then grab lunch!

3rd Vegas with Kids Fave –

The Pools!! Vegas is home to some of the coolest pools around! Each resort has their own special pool activity. We stayed at a resort that had a lazy river and a beach right in the pool. So this is where we spent most afternoons. The water is usually heated (ours was) and is a great way for the kids to stretch out and play while the parents have a moment to breathe – did I mention most pools have outdoor food and beverage options?!

4th Vegas with Kids Fave –

Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at the Mirage. Home to some beautiful show animals and some lovely dolphins, it was really fun. As an extra bonus, Siegfried can be often found walking around inside and is very friendly!  We had a great time here. We recommend this as a morning activity with lunch to follow. The whole thing takes about an hour of time up.

5th Vegas with Kids Fave –

The Freemont St. Experience! Take a ride, if you dare, on the Slotzilla zipline, check out the lightshow, watch some of the street performers, meet a super hero – you can do it all here. Plus, walk through the arches at the end, continue one block down on the left is a super cool, well-hidden, playground for the kids. Let the kids run it out for a few minutes and meet some new friends!

6th Vegas with Kids Fave –

The Adventure Dome! This doesn’t even need explanation! Super fun place to spend an afternoon! You can do everything 2x in about 3 hours. There are some super fun rides there for the kids.

7th Vegas with Kids Fave –

The Red Rock Canyon. This is just a short ride off of the strip, but you feel like you are in another world! There is a great little museum for the kids and a really educational tour with breathtaking views. You could easily pack a lunch and spend a day in this canyon or take a 2 hour tour (be sure to check with your resort concierge to get a good deal on one) and be back in time for lunch on the strip. Either way, it is worth the trip.

8th Vegas with Kids Fave –

Spend an afternoon just walking through each resort and checking out the different displays, free shows and food options there are. Caesar’s Palace, The Venetian, The Flamingo, New York New York, The Luxor and all of the other resorts are really fun to walk through and check out with the kids. Many of them feature a free tram to connect to other resorts. Take advantage of this as it is a LOT of walking. If you have little ones, bring a stroller for sure!

9th Vegas with Kids Fave –

Town Square. This place has a hidden, awesome playground in the middle of it with fantastic shops and restaurants all around it. Let your mate watch the kiddos play and go get your shop on!! Be sure to hit the Welcome to Las Vegas sign on your way back! Stop and grab a family photo, cheezy but so much fun!!
