Our skin is the largest organ of our body. We all know it is incredibly porous and quickly absorbs anything put on it, including up to 64% of toxins found in our water, environment and our products. Said chemicals are linked to so many diseases that it makes no sense to continue to buy products with them in it! Not only are they hurting us, they are also hurting our earth.

In the past I have written on how to get rid of those nasty toxins. I have gone in-depth on the condition of our water and explained cleaning products. Now, thanks to, I am going to share the first three of my beauty tips on how to take your personal product list to the green side and get rid of those nasty toxins once and for all!

I love all-natural products, but with so many on the market it is hard to know which brands are honest and really work. When Conscious Beauty contacted me to review their website and products I was intrigued by the idea that someone had taken the hard part out of buying beneficial, high-quality skin care products. I agreed and went right to check out their website. is very user-friendly. They have products for everyone in the family and are constantly getting new things in. You can click the little heart in the picture and the product will be added to your wishlist – I love this feature. I put everything on my wishlist, then, when I was done perusing, I pulled it up and was able to see everything I want and easily order what I needed.

My favorite feature on was the openness about ingredients. They include a link to EWG’s Skin Deep Cosmetic Database where you can check the toxicity level of your products (you know I checked everything in my house!). lists the ingredients in and ratings of all of their products.

The women behind Conscious Beauty are constantly traveling to find and bring you the best natural products from every corner of the world and to share with you how good these products are for not only you and your family but for our earth as well. sent me some products in exchange for my honest review. I was so pleased to see the products arrive on time, in perfect condition in minimal packaging.

The first product we tried was the Zoe Organics Body Wash and we loved it. I used it on my kids, myself and even hubby had a go! We all like the gentle, relaxing smell of it and the moisturizing lather. This body wash also leaves you feeling clean and soft. We do always add lotion or oil after our showers, but this is a very nice wash with a gentle lather and scent. Love!

The next product I am now obsessed with – Botanical Me Pulse Point Roll-On. I have the Instant Energy and the Instant Calm, I’m in love with both. They now come with everywhere. They are small enough to fit in my bag for easy application anywhere. The scent lasts for about 2 hours so you will need to take them with you. I dab them on my wrist, on my neck and behind my ears and you know what? They work! I feel energized with the Instant Energy Pulse Point Roll-On and able to focus better. Not only do I feel calmer with the Instant Calm Pulse Point Roll-On but I have noticed those around me do as well! This is so coming with me for my next flight…!!!

Perhaps the most fun product we received was the Hopscotch Kids Nail Polish. This polish is non-toxic, water-based, safe and natural. My daughter and I have had fun painting her nails with this. This polish is good quality, though it does wear off when swimming for a long time! They come in great colors, do not have any bad smells and are awesome! I highly recommend this line for little ones who love painted nails!

makes it so easy for you to buy all-natural products that are safe and advantageous for you to use.

Now that you have a safe place to buy your natural products, I hope you are ready to switch away from the chemical ones.

Here are some tips to help you transition into the Conscious Beauty that I know is inside of you:

1st Tip to be a Conscious Beauty:

Research! Check out the products you are currently using on the EWG list for their toxicity levels. Toss anything over an 8 right away! Finish but make a mental note not to buy anything you have found over a 4 again.

2nd Tip to be a Conscious Beauty:

Less is more! Remember: Make-up is meant to enhance your beauty, not to change you! By buying better quality, natural make-up you will start to use a little less each time. Your skin will thank you by glowing naturally! The make-up will last longer!

3rd Tip to be a Conscious Beauty:

Don’t panic and throw everything away. Just toss the things rated over an 8 right away. Finish off the rest of the products, agree never to buy them again, then look at to find the perfect replacement! Start off with some samples or travel sizes until you find the right products for you and your family!

It can be really easy and fun to change your personal products over to natural ones. For now, take some time to look up what is really in the brands you are currently using. Then take a look at to see what catches your eye!

Be sure to check back in the upcoming weeks for more tips on how to be a Conscious Beauty. Until then, what products do you fancy trying on
