Thankfully, Labor Day Weekend comes just in time to give families an opportunity for one last summer adventure – a Labor Day Weekend Family Vacation!

In the US, most offices and schools close down for one day in observance of Labor Day. A day initiated by the labor movement in the 19th century, later becoming an official holiday to celebrate the vast array of achievements by the American workers.

1 In order to properly appreciate all of the labor that our community members have put into this country, we need to experience them, right? What better way than by taking time with your family to enjoy and appreciate all of the amazing attractions this country has to offer. From cities, to beaches to the mountains, rivers and lakes, crowds are smaller, there are great deals to be found everywhere and the weather is usually amazing at this time of year at almost every destination!

a. A great place for the family to visit together is Catalina Island. 3 A long weekend away will make you (and your family members) a better person. Taking time together to step out of your day-to-day routine, acknowledging the change of seasons, appreciating all of the work that has gone into making this country great helps build character within oneself that can not be instilled in any other way.

4 To reconnect with your family and give each other the love and support needed before the hectic schedules of school and work really sets in. It is so important to check in with each family member as well as yourself. Planning a Labor Day Weekend family vacation gives you the time for this.
