My Intention Word For 2025
Hello 2025!! I can’t believe you are here!!
As I step into the new year, I am reflecting on the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. The idea of a “new year, new me” resonates deeply, as it invites us to envision who we want to become and how we can show up for ourselves in a meaningful way.
For the last 10 years now, I have been choosing an intention word that has guided me through the year and helped me focus to reach my goals. In 2015 I chose believe. In 2016 I chose Leap. In 2017 I chose Trust. In 2018 I chose resilient. In 2019 I chose Thrive. In 2020 I chose acceptance. In 2021 I chose communicate. In 2022 I chose strength. In 2023 I chose assertive. In 2024 I chose patience.
2025 brings me to my 10 year anniversary of doing this and I am super excited to announce my word for this year because I have seen how it can shape my entire year.
This year, my intention word is Empowerment.
Empowerment is all about reclaiming control over my own life and making conscious choices that align with my values and goals. It means breaking free from limiting beliefs, trusting in my abilities, and stepping into my personal power. For me, it’s not just about achieving external success, but about fostering an internal sense of strength and confidence to navigate the ups and downs of life.
My Intention for 2025
In 2025, I’m committed to taking actions that reflect this intention. Empowerment starts with mindset, so I’m focusing on shifting from a reactive approach to life to a more proactive one. Instead of waiting for things to happen, I’m taking ownership of my decisions and my path. This might mean saying no to things that drain me and yes to opportunities that help me grow. It might involve stepping outside my comfort zone to pursue new ventures or even simply practicing more self-compassion on days when I feel challenged.
To me, empowerment also means honoring my voice and standing firm in my boundaries. I’ve often found that I give away my power by not speaking up or compromising too much for others. This year, I’m making it a priority to advocate for myself as much as for others – whether that’s in my relationships, my career, or in how I manage my own well-being. I’m learning that it’s okay to put myself first when needed and that self-respect is essential for long-term fulfillment.
Another key aspect of empowerment is recognizing that I am not alone in my journey. In 2025, I want to empower others as much as I empower myself. Whether through sharing my experiences, offering support, or lifting others up, I aim to create a ripple effect of empowerment in my community.
By choosing Empowerment as my word for the year, I am setting an intention to live authentically and with purpose. It’s about taking the reins of my life and trusting that I have the strength to shape my future. Here’s to 2025—a year of growth, strength, and empowerment. Let’s make it count!
Cheers!!
